Home / Azul Blog / Introducing Highlander® NEX™ Shingles for Your Arizona Roof
At Azul Roofing, we take our commitment to sustainability very seriously. We are always on the hunt for new, environmentally friendly solutions for an increasingly eco-aware market. With that said, we are extremely excited to welcome Highlander® NEX™ architectural shingles into our preferred product portfolio. Highlander NEX shingles are fortified with sustainable materials and offer advanced UV resistance as well as environmental technology that can actually reduce air pollution!
Available in a variety of colors to match almost any home, Highlander NEX shingles cost about the same as more conventional shingles, but offer numerous eco-friendly benefits, including the ability to photocatalytically convert smog into water-soluble ions. This is particularly important for cities like Phoenix, Tempe, and Scottsdale, where air pollution is on the rise thanks to exponential industrial growth and construction. One Arizona roof with Highlander® NEX™ shingles installed has about the same smog-fighting potential as 2 or more trees!
These shingles are also designed to reflect solar rays, which reduces heat penetration into your home while dramatically reducing demands on your air conditioning system. To ensure maximum longevity, Highlander® NEX™ shingles use specially formulated asphalt sealant that helps maximize integrity through high winds and heavy rainfall.
Highlander® NEX™ shingles are manufactured using up cycled materials, which means that every 30 squares (3,000 sq. ft.) of these advanced shingles represent up to five tires and roughly 350 milk jugs diverted from a landfill. Now that is an eco-friendly shingle!
